William Goddard is an award winning game designer with experience spanning mobile, physical, and digital games and has contributed to chart-topping successes such as Fruit Ninja. He is interested in how these three domains intersect in game design, creating digital play that extends beyond the screen through the inclusion of audience, space, and paidic social action. He is currently a PhD student at RMIT University, where he is investigating this intersection under the lens of designing social play. This work diverges from his previous investigation into game jams as part of his B.MC (Hons) where he graduated with First Class Honours at RMIT University. As a distraction from day to day game design and research, you will still find him collaborating on new ideas at game jams.
